The EV opportunities for fuel retailers

Xavier Héry joined Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in 2019. He is a core member of the Energy practice, and an expert in downstream oil with a special focus on fuel & convenience retail, mobility, and commercial fuels. Xavier works with clients globally to drive large scale change and deliver outstanding impact in diverse and changing environments for B2C and B2B businesses.

His current areas of focus include the service station of the future, mobility retailer transformation enabled by AI/digital, cost competitiveness and implications of energy transition for fuel retail and commercial players.

Before joining the firm, Xavier worked more than 20 years for Mobil, BP and Shell in the UK, across Europe as well as in the Middle East, South Asia and South Africa.

In addition to roles in strategy development and competitive intelligence, he held several senior commercial leadership positions at regional and global level in Fuel and Convenience Retailing, in Supply and Trading, and in Aviation Fuels.
