Mark Wohltmann is Director of NACS Global, where he is responsible for the strategic development and international growth of NACS’ activities across the global convenience and fuel retail industry.
Since joining NACS in 2016, Mark has worked with retailers and industry leaders around the world, building international communities, connecting people and ideas, and developing platforms for industry collaboration, knowledge exchange and growth. His role takes him extensively across global markets, giving him a first-hand view of how convenience retail is evolving — from changing consumer expectations and new retail formats to technology, mobility and the wider forces reshaping the industry.
Mark has more than 20 years of experience across convenience retail, FMCG/CPG, research and consulting. Before joining NACS, he worked with Nielsen in Europe on strategic product development across convenience retail, HoReCa, e-commerce and tobacco. Earlier roles included developing Germany’s largest convenience retail panel and advising FMCG companies on entering and growing within convenience retail.
Drawing on what he sees and learns across markets, Mark regularly speaks and moderates at industry events around the world, sharing global perspectives, connecting seemingly unrelated developments and exploring what they could mean for the future of convenience retail.
