Vissers Energy Group is partnering with ryd pay to offer mobile payment at its filling stations across The Netherlands.
Ryd pay, based in Germany, has plans for a rapid expansion across Europe and is now available in the Dutch market after being introduced at the Vissers Energy Group's 60 stations. Vissers Energy Group operates stations under the BP, Vissers, Shell and Esso brands.
Sandra Dax, CEO of ryd, is pleased with the partnership, she said: “With Vissers, we have a strong partner on the ryd pay side who recognized the possibilities of digital payment early on. Together we want to conquer the Dutch market with ryd pay and make payment at the gas station as easy as possible."
Gerbert Vissers, general manager of the Vissers Energy Group, is also convinced that the collaboration will bring benefits for the customer and for his company in the future. “We want to use all the technical possibilities of the system. Thanks to the collaboration with ryd pay, our customers can pay quickly, easily and contactless. Now that is via the mobile phone, but in the future also directly from the car.” As a gas station organization, Vissers wants to be ready for that. With ryd pay, payment is made directly via the app at the fuel pump or in the car. Therefore it is no longer necessary to go to the gas shop, but can be paid directly from the car according to the latest security and encryption mechanisms of the banks.
ryd is a product of ThinxNet GmbH, a fast-growing tech company from Munich. Visser Energy Group is a Dutch gas station company with more than 50 gas station locations with its own shop concepts, such as Moments & More, Delimore and De Smaaksmederij.
