Video: A big year ahead for forecourttech
After a tumultuous couple of years where industry events were the last thing on people’s mind, forecourttech enjoyed a triumphant return to its in-person format in October.
It was an opportunity, after an almost two-year hiatus, to get reacquainted with old friends and colleagues as well as forge new connections with the influx of new attendees. It was also a chance to hear about the latest developments in the sector. The pandemic, despite all the destruction and upheaval, accelerated the digital transformation. The conference element of the event was a chance to hear about how companies had adapted and innovated during this time to better serve their customers in the new normal.
The biggest challenge of forecourttech ‘21 was understandably trying to convince delegates that the pros of attending far outweighed the hassle of vaccine passports and passenger locator forms. Thankfully the majority were in agreement and were eager to finally get back together in person. After a successful two days the forecourttech team left the Asia Gardens Hotel brimming with ideas and excited for future events.
forecourttech ‘22 will take place on 18 and 19 October 2022 and whilst the tested mix of presentations from industry experts, b2b business meetings and relaxed networking opportunities will remain, the team are always looking for ways to stay relevant and ensure the event continues to be fit for purpose.
forecourttech will once again be supported by NACS Global and the International Forecourt Standards Forum (IFSF) and will continue the working partnership with Christian Warning from The Retail Marketeers, and formerly of Shell, who was instrumental in attracting the large contingent of senior leaders from the German market. The success of this partnership has led the team to explore other collaborations of this nature, with the intention of attracting new delegates from a range of different markets.
