Q1 station in Iffezheim named best service station in Germany

Q1’s newly opened station in the German town of Iffezheim has been awarded the title of “Filling Station of the Year 2025” in the “Special Award for Overall Concept” category. The prize, presented during the Tankstelle & Mittelstand trade fair, recognised the station’s comprehensive approach to modern mobility, sustainability, and customer experience.

The award is presented every two years by industry magazine Tankstelle in cooperation with the Federal Association of Independent Filling Stations and the Purchasing Association of Independent Filling Stations. The jury was particularly impressed by Q1’s integrated concept, which combines cutting-edge mobility solutions, sustainable energy systems, and innovative retail and service offerings.

Designed as a modern multi-service hub, the Iffezheim site, which opened in February,  features a contemporary interior and exterior layout. The station’s “Oase” retail concept offers a wide assortment of fresh food options, including sandwiches, wraps, sushi, and juices, along with daily rotating lunch menus. Additional amenities include a pizza station, a traditional bakery section, and hot beverages from Dallmayr, all housed within a welcoming and modern environment. A self-checkout terminal enhances customer convenience by enabling fast and efficient transactions.

“We are proud of this recognition, which affirms the successful launch of our station in Iffezheim. Our vision is to actively shape the mobility of tomorrow, with a focus on sustainability, innovation, and customer service,” said Frederick Beckmann, CEO of Q1.

The station is equipped with 14 fuel dispensers and 26 filling points, offering a diverse range of fuels such as HVO100 diesel and AdBlue for cars and trucks. It also includes a Bio-LNG fueling point and two fast-charging stations for electric vehicles. To support sustainability goals, a rooftop photovoltaic system provides efficient energy, particularly during midday peak usage hours.
