Istobal’s new evolution of its innovative HW’PROGRESS2 rollover is set to ‘revolutionise’ the commercial vehicle wash sector with unprecedented efficiency and flexibility.
The new machine has a number of enhancements and different configurations to wash any type of commercial vehicle. “This allows the HW’PROGRESS2 to be adapted to wash a wide variety of vehicles, from vans to large trucks and vehicles with irregular shapes,” says Joaquín Martínez, Product Manager for the Industrial washing product line at ISTOBAL.
Innovation and resource savings, pillars of the new rollover
The new version of the HW’PROGRESS2 also features a number of improvements including a redesign of the hydraulic circuit that allows for more efficient rinsing with a reduction of up to 25 % in water consumption and 6 % in energy consumption. “The sectorisation of the water circuit for rinsing the brushes, together with the resizing of the main water supply, makes it possible to optimise the main water electro-pump, with the consequent saving of resources,” says Joaquín Martínez.
In addition, one of the main changes in the new HW’PROGRESS2 is its improved brush system with diameters increased to 1100 mm. Indeed, the rollover incorporates several technologies that improve and make the cleaning process more sustainable.
Another new feature is the improved chemical spray system, which allows the incorporation of a second chemical application system and new pre-wash combinations for the most demanding users. These new options position the HW’PROGRESS2 as one of the most equipped industrial wash bridges on the market.
The equipment also incorporates a state-of-the-art scanning system that automatically profiles the vehicle and adapts the trajectory of the high-pressure nozzles, significantly improving the coverage and efficiency of the wash process, while reducing the need for manual set-up on the machine.
User experience and operational efficiency hand in hand
In line with ISTOBAL’s aim to improve the user experience as well as operational efficiency, HW’PROGRESS2 offers more versatile payment terminals that accept multiple forms of payment, including bank cards and mobile payments.
In addition, the new control station has a touch screen and 31 customisable programmes, and also facilitates the operation and adjustment of the wash according to the specific needs of each vehicle. Furthermore, the structure can be customised in 23 different colours, while the polyethylene brushes are available in 4 colours to adapt to the corporate image of each customer.
