First four Q8 and Storm fast charging stations open in Belgium

Q8 and renewable energy company Storm have opened the first four fast-charging stations for electric vehicles (EV) in Belgium as part of their collaboration to establish 200 fast-charging locations.

Q8

The new sites are located in East Flanders, Limburg, and Flemish Brabant and will deliver 100% renewable energy, generated in Belgium.

Speaking at the launch of the new sites, Frank Rouwens, Managing Director of Q8 said: “More fast-charging stations are already in planning: our first full-service charging station with a shop and restaurant will open in Heusden-Zolder in the first quarter of 2025. We are also looking at plenty of additional charging options and even separate charging squares at existing gas stations.”

All locations will be built with sustainable and natural materials and feature permeable paving, green planting and a green roof. The charge solutions will be delivered by Kempower.
