Panel: Global Retail Leader Wrap Up

Máté started his career as an electrical engineer holding numerous technical positions starting in high-end storage server HW manufacturing in IBM for 5 years – prior to moving to IT solution design, software development, system integration and operation. After working several years in payment cross border acquiring (as a service provider for OMV network) at Euronet worldwide, a WW payment service provider, he joined to MOL Group, Fuel Retail supporting IT domain. With close to 10 years of experience in electronic payments field from both service provider and merchant side, Máté has been leading the Group Digital Architecture and Payments tribe, a unit in MOL Group which was in charge for the Consumer Services (Retail and Mobility) business line digital transformation architectural planning and payment innovation implementation.

Driven by the strong MOL Group Consumer Services vision and strategy and building on the scale of the business (10 countries, almost 500mn transactions p.a.), MOL has built an organization, Digital Factory which implemented a data platform and a CRM/Loyalty platform supporting the business in detailed monitoring and forecasting of its performance and communicating with its customers and personalizing their experience.

As the organization (both business and Digital Factory) develops and 100s of colleagues use these platforms, tools on a daily basis, the business is becoming more intelligent and performs better year by year. With the introduction of AI into several tools and business processes MOL is just taking this progress to the next level and helping the business to be more accurate and effective in its operations, driving tangible results on the way. For the past 2 years Máté has been leading the Group Digital Engineering chapter in MOL Group Digital Factory which is charge for the digital technology implementation and operation for Retail and Mobilty.
