Benzina ORLEN, the largest filling station chain in the Czech Republic, has selected the Way4 Fleet solution from OpenWay, a global leader in payment processing software, to transform its fuel card business.
With the new solution, Benzina ORLEN aims to increase payments efficiency, launch new services for drivers, and further develop both its business domestically, as well as in the neighbouring countries.
Benzina ORLEN made the strategic decision to upgrade its existing card management system after having already reached its technical and capacity limits. Maintaining the system was proving a burden on the company’s financial resources and manpower. The ability to launch new generation payment services was limited and took an inordinate amount of time, and some activities such as customer onboarding could only be done manually.
The modernization project will include the migration of over a million fuel cards and more than 400 Benzina ORLEN filling stations to Way4. The company will now be able to manage its card business in the Czech Republic and Slovakia on a single platform. Way4 will significantly automate and simplify routine operations for the staff such as customer onboarding, card product setup, and changeover of corporate hierarchies. Thanks to the inherent flexibility of Way4’s architecture, Benzina ORLEN can personalize pricing schemes, discount rules, and credit limits for individual and business customers. Drivers will be able to pay with international cards such as DKV and UTA at Benzina ORLEN filling stations.
Commenting on the project launch, Jan Suchocki, Director of Sales Support & R.D. Section, Benzina ORLEN, noted: “At Benzina ORLEN, we strive to offer the best payment services to our B2C and B2B customers at our filling stations. That’s why it is important for us to partner with the leading experts in the payment field. OpenWay provides one of the best payment solutions in the world, and has experience in large digital transformation projects in Europe”.
